When it comes to this case the physical evidence is very limited, which is more reason why the identity of this young girl is still unknown. The remains were covered on May 28 th , 2016, near a desert area in Mohave County, Arizona. The body was in an advanced state of decomposition, which sadly made it harder for investigators to gather a lot of details.   According to reports, the girl is estimated to have been between 13 and 17 years old. One of the biggest pieces of evidence is her dental records her teeth showed signs of having had some dental work done, which could help identify her if old records are ever matched. unfortunately, no DNA matches have been made for two CODIS or other databases.   Another important detail is the clothing and personal items found at the scene. At the time, no one knew who she was. she didn't have ID, and her body had been out there long enough to be mummified, which made identifying her even harder. she became known as a Jane Doe, and her case stayed cold for years. what makes this case so heartbreaking is that the girl showed signs of once being cared for. she had pierced ears, pink toenail polish, and even had braces or orthodontic work, which really stuck to me. it tells me she came from somewhere where someone cared about her at one point-but somehow, she still ended up alone and forgotten in the desert. the crime context also says a lot. investigators believe she didn't die where she was found her body was likely dumped there, wh...
